Privacy Policy
In short: Pip's Word Pairs has no accounts, advertising, analytics, social features, or cross-app tracking. A child's optional name, age group, learning progress, play history, and settings stay on the device. Apple and RevenueCat process limited purchase information only when a parent uses an in-app purchase.
1. Information We Handle
Information stored locally
The app stores an optional child name, selected age group, learning progress, review schedule, collected words, recent play duration, and settings inside the iOS app sandbox. This information is not uploaded to our servers. Deleting the app removes it; the in-app reset removes learning data while retaining settings and purchase entitlement.
RevenueCat purchase processing
When a parent purchases or restores access, RevenueCat may receive a pseudonymous app user identifier, App Store transaction receipt and product identifier, and purchase status. We use this only to unlock and restore paid access. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Apple purchase processing
Apple processes downloads, payments, subscription management, and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive full payment-card details or Apple Account passwords.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or transmit a child's name, age group, learning progress, voice, photos, location, contacts, advertising identifier, or activity in other apps. We do not sell personal information.
2. How Information Is Used
Local information personalizes greetings, selects a default difficulty, plans practice and review, shows progress, and builds the parent report. Purchase information provides paid access. Information is not used for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, analytics, or machine-learning training.
3. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade information. Apple provides distribution and purchases; RevenueCat provides purchase verification and entitlement management. No advertising, analytics, social-network, chat, or user-generated-content service is embedded.
4. Device Permissions
The app does not request camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, location, notification, Bluetooth, or local-network access.
5. Family Choices
- Reset learning progress in the protected parent settings area.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored profile, progress, history, and settings.
- Cancel an annual subscription in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
- Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Use Restore Purchases to restore an eligible entitlement. Local learning progress is not restored on a new installation.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is designed for children ages 4–8. Purchases and external links are behind adult verification. Children do not need to provide contact details, create an account, communicate with users, or view ads. The optional child name stays only on the device.
7. Retention
Local data remains until reset or app deletion. Apple and RevenueCat retain pseudonymous transaction records under their respective policies and applicable law.
8. Security
Local information is protected by the iOS app sandbox and device security. Purchase verification uses encrypted connections provided by Apple frameworks and RevenueCat. We minimize risk by not operating an account database or uploading children's learning data.
9. International Availability
Local learning information stays on the device. Apple and RevenueCat may process pseudonymous purchase information in other countries under their respective safeguards.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The Last Updated date identifies the latest version.
